Hilltop 360 View Park
I haven't traveled alone in such a long time. I was always with my kids and our bags. Felt so different not having to think where our things went or how others were doing. I only need to worry about myself. I was drifted during my college days. How frail and ignorant I was, trying to make "siksik" with the rest of the passengers. There was one time when I rode the wrong bus, bound for Balilihan instead to our home Calape. I got so scared seeing those unfamiliar places and view. Yet, I was also so shy to ask the bus conductor. In the end I walked a considerable length to the intersection road and waited for another bus. Took me hours to get home. I never told my family about it.
"Asa ni?" (Where are you headed?), asked the bus conductor, snapping me out of my reverie. "Tubigon", I quickly answered. He gave me a ticket and I gave him 15 pesos. It only took 20 minutes for the Ceres bus to arrive in Tubigon. Minutes later another bus stopped in Tubigon market headed for Carmen. I went in. The fare til Sagbayan was 25 pesos. It was so dusty (lots of road reconstructions), so I was thankful that mother lent me her scarf. After an hour, I arrived at Sagbayan Public Market.
I head on the the nearest bakeshop in the corner and bought a bottle of water and some snacks. This was our agreed meet up with hubby and kids and family. T'was election day, they voted in Danao and I in Calape. I was glad ours went well while their's, not so much (PCOS machine issue). I was helping 2 young girls for directions to Carmen when the car arrived. I immediately went in and we hit the road.
Hilltop Park is located in La Victoria, Carmen. There's a big sign in the intersection, you can't miss it. Its a long walk to the park I think, about 500 meters, but if its early morning or late in the afternoon, I guess its okay to walk.
The owner said it was a family farm before. With mango trees and a pond. Now, this place is open for retreats, seminars, camping and other gatherings.
They also offer horseback riding pictorial. The kids were eager to try it so we let them.
Climbing up the hill was a little tiring but the view at the top is breathtaking. Seeing the vast field of mountains, hundreds of hills and all that's green. The view even extends to the sea and some other nearby islands. So calming and relaxing. It was late afternoon and I believe it's the best time to go there to witness the beautiful sunset. 'Twas also windy, we loved it. The kind you'll never find in busy cities.
We enjoyed doing some candid and jump shots before heading home.
